Laury Controls and Design was founded in 2005 by Frederick Laury, Mr.Laury began his career with Duke Energy in 1999 as an electrical designer for the I&C Department. After spending several years there, Mr Laury was given the opportunity to serve as the I&C Assistant Manager to Commission a 550 Megawatt power plant in Puerto Rico. After returning from his assignment in Puerto Rico, Mr.Laury’s entrepreneur spirit blossomed- he discovered his own ability to connect people and energy in his own unique way. The result-Laury Controls & Design.
Upon its inception in 2005, Mr.Laury worked as an contractor designing electrical systems for power distribution, new power plants, and existing power plants. By the year 2012 Laury Controls & Design had 13 years experience in the Power Utility Industry and was prosperous enough to add other electrical consultants to the team. These talented consultants range from Senior Electrical Engineers to Senior Relay protection Engineers. This addition gave Laury Controls & Design the ability to execute turnkey electrical design projects in all three phases of the power utility industry; Generation,Transmission and Distribution.
